A few words about the company Kalamata Papadimitriou
1939-1970
Christos Papadimitriou, 29 years old, settles in Kalamata and is active in the trade and export of local products of Kalamata: dried figs, Kalamon olives and olive oil.
In the 50's and having gained experience, he managed to penetrate a very difficult and demanding market, Great Britain, with another local product: the Corinthian raisin. Gradually, it focuses on raisins and specializes in this product, expanding to new markets such as the Netherlands and Germany.
1971-2003
His son, oenologist Costas Papadimitriou, returns from his studies, joins the company and develops it further, consolidating its position abroad. The company will soon be the 2nd largest exporter of Corinthian raisins in the world.
Combining his business talent and studies, he designs a new product. Based on the value of the Greek superfood, the Corinthian raisin, he created the now well-known Greek "Balsamic Vinegar Kalamata Papadimitiou".
2004-present
The 3rd generation, Christos & Dimitris take an active part.
Kalamata Papaditirou balsamic vinegar becomes the No.1 Balsamic vinegar in sales in Greece and remains 1st until today.
New lines of innovative products are being developed, based on balsamic vinegar, balsamic creams and Mediterranean mustards.
In 2013 the company joins the international network Endeavor, managing to be the first Greek company in the food industry to become a member.
